Lukas Dedecker obtained his LLM (Hons) law degree at Ghent University in 2016.

Among other subjects, he studied International and European Environmental Law, Biotechnology Law, Energy Law and Biodiversity Law. In 2015, he wrote his master’s thesis on access to the courts for NGOs in environmental proceedings.

In 2013, he spent 6 months studying at the Pravna Fakulteta in Ljubljana (Slovenia) in connection with the Erasmus Programme. While there, he participated in the MUN programme and received the Best Judge Award for this.

At the end of 2015, he completed a traineeship at the Flemish Advisory Council for Nature and the Environment, where he gave legal support to the policy recommendations editorial staff.

Lukas has been employed at LDR since 1 January 2016. He mainly provides support to the environmental team with regard to environmental law.
