Curriculum

Jonathan Joris graduated with honours with a Master's degree in Law from Ghent University in 2024. During his studies, he developed a keen interest in environmental law, which was reflected in his choice of specialised courses such as spatial planning law, environmental law, biodiversity law and energy law.

His Master's thesis dealt with the legal aspects of light pollution as a threat to biodiversity. In 2024, it was nominated for the “Future Proef Award” of Ghent University.

Jonathan Joris has been registered with the Ghent Bar since 1 October 2024. On 1 January 2026, he joined LDR, where he mainly provides support to the environmental team in the field of spatial planning law.
