Charlotte Ponchaut
Curriculum
Charlotte Ponchaut received her Master’s degree in Law with distinction at Ghent University and the University of Glasgow in 2010.
She took the subjects administrative law, environmental planning and energy law, among others.
The preparatory paper for her master’s thesis dealt with the protection of immovable heritage, in particular archaeological sites.
She has been active as a lawyer with LDR since 1 August 2010, offering assistance in environmental and environmental planning files.
Charlotte has worked as a lawyer for LDR since 1 August 2010. She focuses primarily on enforcement files within both environmental and planning law. Charlotte also deals with a wide variety of matters within the broad subject matter of environmental law.
She is also a lecturer at University College Ghent (HoGent), where she teaches several environmental legal subjects.
Since 2015 she is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Environmental Law (TMR).
She has also a certificate in ‘Special Training in Cassation Proceedings in Criminal Proceedings’ since 2016, which allows her to act as a lawyer in criminal proceedings in the Supreme Court.
