Vanessa McClelland

Curriculum

Vanessa McClelland obtained her LLM law degree at Ghent University in 2016.

Among other subjects, she studied Planning and Zoning Law, Environmental Law, International and European Environmental Law, and International and European Biodiversity Law. As a student, she was also one of the editors of the university’s student magazine and she regularly posted articles on scientific and legal topics in this magazine.

Her master’s thesis focused on interaction between environmental law and the rights of indigenous peoples in Arctic and Subarctic regions, particularly those in Canada.

Her excellent command of Dutch, French and English has enabled her to build up experience in legal translations.

Vanessa has been working at LDR as a lawyer since 1 February 2016. She mainly provides support to the environmental team with regard to environmental law.
